ロープウェーに乗っていると見えてくる、ローカル達が1番見ている谷川岳の斜面。谷川岳の大斜面といえばここで滑る人達なら、この斜面を思い浮かべる人も多いはず。今作のDVDジャケットもこの南斜面を使用予定。面が南向きなので雪の状況は刻々と変わり雪崩の発生も多い。雪の状態が良いのはほんの一瞬。年に数回しかないタイミングを狙いライダー達はアタックする。

Tanigawadake, if they are local. i m planning to choose this southern slope for the cover of this project’s DVD. the slope occurs often avalanches because the surface facing south so which snow condition changes every second. a perfect condition happens just in a moment. local crew aims and attack the slope it only a few times a year.
